Canada Study Visa's

Education Fee:

Education fee in Canada are among the lowest in the English-speaking world. It will vary from college and university, on an average the annual fee ranges between 14000-16000 Canadian dollars approximately. There is a separate visa office fee also that has to be paid by the student for getting the study visa for Canada once he/she meets the educational qualifications and other requirements of a particular selected course and gets letter of confirmation from the institute. The semester and annual fee of the university/college has to be paid in advance and it is refundable with a nominal deduction in case of non-issuance of visa.

Part Time Work:

The students are permitted to work along with the studies on a part-time basis. They are allowed to work 20 hours off-campus every week and can earn around CAD 12-14 per hour on an average. The average cost of living is CAD 10,000 annually.

REQUIREMENTS:

You are required to obtain a "Study Permit" before going to Canada. Student can apply for Study Permit under the - Student Partners Program (SPP) @ Association of Canadian Community Colleges and the Canadian Immigration Programs in New Delhi. To qualify for Study Permit Application under SPP you should hold an unconditional offer letter from one of the universities / colleges that are included under this scheme. SPP is currently open to Indian nationals only.

Documents required for SPP (STUDENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM): Applicants should get following necessary documents to qualify for CANADA STUDY VISA:

1. SPP Checklist - Attach this as a cover sheet to your application.

2. Application Form fully filled, dated & signed, along with your personal mailing address, contact number and email address.

3. A valid Passport with validity of more than 6 months from the planned date of arrival in Canada.

4. Family Information Form and Student Questionnaire.

5. Two passport size Photographs with a white background for yourself - taken in the past 6 months. (Required for each family member requesting a visa - if any). The photographs should have your name on the back & dated.

6. A clear Statement of Purpose (SOP) - Reason to study in Canada

7. Before applying for a Canada study visa, applicants should have a letter of acceptance from an educational institution. Letter of Acceptance from your SPP educational institute in Canada stating unconditional admission, course title, duration of study, level of study, start date (multiple start dates, if applicable) and latest possible date of admission.

8. Use of a Representative Form (IMM 5476) (if applicable)

9. English Language Test (IELTS): Test results taken within last 24 months (with overall band not less than 6.0, with no individual band lower than 5.5)

10. Academics Score: Recommended score of above 65% in the. Photocopy of the most recent diploma/leaving certificate, and most recent mark sheets (for entire program; consolidated mark sheets are NOT acceptable)

11. Copy of Receipts for tuition payment provided by the SPP institution.

12. Proof of Funds: Proof of having enough financial resources to take care of Tuition fees & the living expenses. You MUST demonstrate the purchase of a special (GIC) from a participating Canadian financial institution, in the amount of $10,000 CAD to cover living expenses for your first year in Canada.

13. Medical examination (To be done from the registered Hospitals) Copy of medical examination form IMM1017 - if you have opted to undergo a medical examination before submitting your application. It is mandatory to complete a medical examination prior to submission of your application. Medical results are valid for one year.

Individuals need to initiate their visa process at least 3 to 6 months ahead. Canada student visa processing time is around 2 months, so planning well in advance is always recommended. "If you are willing to take up a course of 6 months or less then you need to apply for Visit Visa of Canada."
